Leagues

We offer a large variety of leagues that accommodate a wide range of curlers. So, whether you are new to curling, a recreational player, want something a little more competitive, or anything in between; the Marmora & Area Curling Club is sure to have a league suitable for you.

This fun, mixed league plays at 7pm every Monday. There are two sessions per season (Fall and Winter), allowing team changes and additions in the second half. Teams of four are created based on your position preference. Teams play eight ends, sweep between hog lines and make every stone count. We have playoffs at the end of each draw with the winning team getting bragging rights!

This lively League has two draws starting at 1pm and 2:15pm every Tuesday with Teams alternating between start times. There are two sessions per season (Fall and Winter), allowing team changes and additions in the second half. Stick rules apply with two people to a team (team entries are welcome or we will pair you up). Delivery is by stick only with no sweeping between hog lines during the six end game. This fast-paced game demonstrates how skill and control are key to winning.

This BYOT (Bring Your Own Team) league is recommended for teams and players with 1+ years of curling experience. We play at 7pm every Tuesday night. Open to any combination of mixed players, we welcome team entries or sign up as an individual and be placed on a team of four. We play eight ends and sweep between hog lines. There are two sessions per season (Fall and Winter), allowing team changes and additions in the second half. Each sesson ends in playoffs.  Hurry hard!

This league is known for three things: great curling, fantastic snacks and a lot of fun! Played at 1pm every Wednesday afternoon, we welcome both new and experienced curlers to our teams. Each team is comprised of four players, randomly selected by the skips and based on each curler’s preferred position. We play eight ends and there are two sessions per season (Fall and Winter), allowing team changes and additions in the second half.

First time curling? This mixed league plays at 7pm every Wednesday for the first half of the season (Fall Session). Strongly recommended for all new curlers. This league gives you the chance to learn and practise your skills and provide you with the confidence to participate in other leagues during the second half, Winter Session. Through both on and off-ice instruction, drills and games, learning has never been so much fun! All instruction is provided by experienced curlers from our club.

This fun, mixed league plays at 7pm every Wednesday during the Winter Session. Teams of four are created based on your position preference. Teams play eight ends, sweep between hog lines and make every stone count.

This league has two draws starting at 12:30pm and 2:15pm every Thursday with Teams alternating between start times. There are two sessions per season (Fall and Winter), allowing team changes and additions in the second half. The League welcomes both new and experienced players. Many of our players took up the sport late in life and prefer to use a stick to deliver the rock which is a great way to keep the game accessible to everyone. Teams of four are created based on your position preference - no team entries permitted. We sweep between hog lines and only play six ends so that we can maximize our socializing and snacking after the game!

New this season! This league runs at 7pm on Thursdays. This fast-paced game follows the rules for Stick Curling - with two people to a team - but allows delivery by both sliding and stick. Open to new and experienced curlers, you can sign up as a team or as an individual and be paired up with a team-mate. Emphasis is placed on skill and control as there is no sweeping between the hog lines during the six end game. There are two sessions per season (Fall and Winter), allowing team changes and additions in the second half.

Our Youth Program provides our youngest members, ages 10 to 15, with a supervised opportunity to practice curling, all in a fun and safety-first environment. Played on Thursdays from 4:00-5:30pm, experienced instructors provide lessons on sliding, rules of play, etiquette, strategy, sportsmanship and most of all - FUN!
